- Physical Description
Grimnir is an ancient orc, with heavy creases lining his weatherbeaten face. Gnarled and knobby all over, he is most often seen in a seated position unless necessity demands otherwise.
- Character History
Grimnir was born in Draenor, a member of the Frostwolf Clan. When he was very young he accompanied Durotan and his fellow clansmen in their exile into Azeroth, settling in the Alterac Valley and choosing a life of peace over battle. He was gifted in the shamanistic arts but never truly embraced their warlike applications, and eventually he and a number of like-minded Frostwolves settled a small fishing village on the southeast bank of Lake Lordamere, content to lead a simple life.
The village remained hidden during the First and Second Wars, and Grimnir happily courted and married an orc female named Zevrah and fathered three children. It was a happiness that would not last long. The Third War broke over all of Azeroth like a storm, and Grimnir returned to the village after a brief trip to Frostwolf Keep to find its denizens slaughtered, and its structures razed to the ground. A young human captain by the name of Marcus Jonathan had come upon the village and left no one alive.
For two years Grimnir wandered Azeroth in ghost wolf form, killing humans wherever he could find them. He remembers little of this period except endless bloodshed. Eventually he met an aged orc named Gorfrunch Smashblade, who had assembled a small group of orcs to fight the battles Thrall would not. Grimnir became one of them...and his past life was no more.
He is now Grin.
